I'm a design engineer and frontend developer based in Portland, OR, with 6+ years building accessible, high-performance products across web and native mobile. I work design-systems-first — component libraries, tokens, and patterns in code, from HOT's XLSForm Builder interface to the token system behind this site — and I build AI-native interfaces too: this site's ask command is a streaming Claude API feature I shipped end to end. What I care about most is making dense technical UI feel simple.

Most of that was at The Dyrt, working across web and native mobile on a marketplace used by millions of campers. Before software, I spent years in humanitarian work across Southern Africa and Haiti, then made the jump through Epicodus, a Portland bootcamp, in 2018 — the same instinct for solving problems under real constraints carried over.

After The Dyrt, I started volunteering with the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team, contributing to open-source tools used in the field by MSF, the Red Cross, and UN agencies. That's still going today, alongside my current role at Hot Pepper Studios, where I'm a frontend developer and engineering process lead on an eLearning platform.
