I'm a frontend engineer in Portland, OR. I build design systems and accessible UI that ship in production, for people who can't afford the software to fail.

For 6+ years I've worked across consumer marketplaces and humanitarian tooling: component libraries, design tokens, and UI patterns that hold up across web and native codebases.

What I do best:

• Build and scale design-token systems (CSS custom properties, theming, white-labeling) across React, React Native, and Vue codebases
• Build and ship AI features. I built a streaming Claude API feature end to end, including graceful degradation and rate limiting
• Set up frontend process for distributed teams from zero: PR standards, code review norms, CI/CD, strict typing

Right now I lead frontend at Hot Pepper Studios, on a CME-accredited medical eLearning platform. I also contribute to open-source humanitarian tooling in my spare time.

I care about the details most people don't notice until they're wrong: typography, spacing, motion, information density, and WCAG-level accessibility. This site is the example. The terminal is the UI, backed by server-rendered pages that work without JavaScript, and contrast is tested above AA.
