Tyler Bussanich
Design engineer and frontend developer in Portland, OR, with 6+ years shipping accessible, high-performance UI across web and native mobile. I work design-systems-first — component libraries, tokens, and patterns in code, from the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team’s XLSForm Builder interface to the token system behind this site. I build AI-native interfaces too: this site’s ask command is a streaming Claude API feature I shipped end to end. The throughline is making dense technical UI feel simple.
Currently leading frontend and engineering process at Hot Pepper Studios, with open source for the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team on the side.
